Levitra

Levitra (vardenafil) is a medicine originally designed to treat one of the most common sexual disorders – erectile dysfunction. As you can probably tell by the name, this condition is characterized by the inability of the patient to get erections that would be sufficient to have sex. Levitra gives almost every patient taking it a chance to get their normal sex life back – all that with just a few minor side effects sometimes reported. If you take Levitra exactly as recommended (not more often than once every 24 hours) and do not exceed the dose prescribed, you can avoid most of the side effects. You also need to be honest with your health care provider about any drugs you are taking at the moment. Nitrate-based drugs that can come in a variety of forms (sprays, patches, tablets, sublingual tablets etc.) can cause serious health consequences if combined with Levitra. Your blood pressure may drop suddenly causing fainting, coma and even death if timely medical assistance is not available. Some health conditions you have been diagnosed with can affect the success of your treatment in a number of ways. Make sure your health care provider knows that you have any of the following: heart rhythm problems, liver disease, a stomach ulcer, a recent history of stroke or blood clots, some inherited condition of the eye, a history of a heart attack or chest pain, any bleeding disorder, blood cell disorder, kidney disease, physical deformity of the penis, high or low blood pressure, or heart disease. Some of these conditions can make it impossible for you to take Levitra, as they increase the risk of developing some side effects you would rather avoid. Other health conditions from the ones mentioned will require a dose adjustment, and your doctor will recommend having some additional tests done to establish the safety of Levitra. Mild side effects of Levitra can be: memory problems, warmth or redness in your face, stuffy nose, upset stomach, headache, and back pain. More serious side effects are rare but possible and can include any of the following: feeling light-headed, priapism, irregular heartbeat, sudden vision loss, vision changes, convulsions, shortness of breath, chest pain, and ringing in your ears. Tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking at the moment or are planning on taking, including amiodarone, rifabutin, quinidine, clarithromycin, cimetidine, alpha blockers, high blood pressure medications, irregular heartbeat drugs, paroxetine, HIV protease inhibitors, erectile dysfunction medicines, phenobarbital, carbamazepine, or antifungals. Your dose of Levitra may require an adjustment. Even if you are using any herbal preparations (such as St. John's wort) make sure your health care provider is aware of that fact when prescribing Levitra. Levitra can be also purchased online, just make sure you do your shopping with a reputable online pharmacy that gives you good deals. Generic Levitra is also available, being just as efficient as the brand name version.
